Horse racing update
There has been a good sign up to the racing section with about 226 interested members.
We have a member who is an assistant trainer to a leading stable and sufficient members interested to start a syndicate. He has connections to a good bloodstock agent and there are several routes to ownership.
Clearly the current situation means that starting this is problematic. We also have a member who is a Steward at half a dozen racecourses who is keen to give a talk perhaps at a dinner or a library lecture style evening.
In the meantime, Chris Lynas is keen to get a steering group or committee up and running in preparation for a resumption of racing. Due to his relocation to Ireland and family commitments (as the main carer for a disabled relative) his availability to run events in London has diminished since starting the sign up sheet.
He is keen to get help on running the syndicate, social media coordination, event’s organiser, race trip organiser/s, database management, and finance organisation. If anyone on the list has these skills and finds that, due to lack of daily commute, they have some extra time on their hands, then please contact Chris Lynas on c.lynas@outlook.com. The hope is to organise a Zoom meeting in next couple of weeks and get things moving forward.
